Description

This is part of a series of classic recording ribbon microphones. These particular microphones were used from the 1940s through the 1960s, some of the models on almost every single recording coming out of Nashville. The RCA 44 was often used as a main vocal microphone, although it could pick up equally from both sides, so often it would be seen with a group of backup singers gathered around it. The design is more than functional, it is also visually beautiful, and at the same time you can see the history that this audio tool has lived. It is exalted in these images, much in the same way that the Nashville community appreciates its musical heritage.

NOTE: The artwork will remain on display in the Soundwaves Gallery through the end of the 2024 Season. We will contact you at the conclusion of the season to make arrangements for pickup of your purchase. If you have any questions, contact us at info@abcnashville.org.
