Description
The painting features a young boy embracing himself in a hug, symbolizing self-love and belonging. There is a poem in the painting, “If home is where I belong, then running with God is my only home.” There is a rope with cowrie shells, a nod to my lost African ancestry, and a meditation bell connected to the artwork, an homage to the Buddhist practice and the Judaic tradition of tying a bell to the priests when entering the holy of holies.
NOTE: The artwork will remain on display in the Soundwaves Gallery through the end of the 2024 Season. We will contact you at the conclusion of the season to make arrangements for pickup of your purchase. If you have any questions, contact us at info@abcnashville.org.
