Description

In the context of “Global Voices, Local Heart,” the piece serves as a visual map of the immigrant journey. The green lines function as both boundaries and bridges, mirroring the structured paths of migration and the resilient infrastructure of a new home. The repetitive, hand-textured red circles evoke a collective heartbeat; though these “voices” may originate from distant points, they converge here to form a singular, vital core. For Nashville, a city defined by its overlapping stories, this work captures the beautiful tension between maintaining one’s global origins and planting roots in local soil.

NOTE: The artwork will remain on display in the Soundwaves Gallery through the end of the 2026 Season.
