Description

The Nashville Under a Rainbow Platter was hand-built using stoneware clay and once bisque-fired, was glazed using vivid underglazes to show off bits of Nashville’s personality with structures representing different neighborhoods encircling the platter. The platter features the Ryman, the Parthenon and many examples of other architectural styles found throughout the neighborhoods of our fair city, all of which encircle Lake Watauga of Centennial Park. Each structure was hand-carved using a needle tool before being attached to the platter during the initial phase of creation. Graced with a vivid rainbow–a symbol of the hope and acceptance found in Nashville–and blue skies dotted with fluffy clouds, this piece breathes the idyllic nature of our lovely, little Big City.

NOTE: The artwork will remain on display in the Soundwaves Gallery through the end of the 2024 Season. We will contact you at the conclusion of the season to make arrangements for pickup of your purchase. If you have any questions, contact us at info@abcnashville.org.
