This piece is inspired by the growth of Wedgewood-Houston and the memories of its development. The decayed color palette depicts the industrial history of Wedgewood’s factories, warehouses and buildings. The dark and rugged color ways of ink speak of the years past while its future emerges within the gold. The blending of colors displays the work of nature as it reclaims the abandoned spaces making room for the new—what was then and what will be.
