Monya Nikahd
Fashion/Textiles, Multi-Disciplinary, Visual Art

Historically, textiles have preserved stories, just as the modern use of digital memory. As a weaver, I want to preserve this ancient craft by applying digital aesthetics to its surfaces. My favorite part of Periscope was the new connections and friendships. I would recommend this program to those who need a routine time of the week to sit and focus on their goals.

Natalie Jean
Performance Arts

I am a versatile award winning Haitian singer, songwriter, and performer who creates music that will make you second guess everything you thought you already knew. My music is socially driven and I hope to be an effective player in this thing called life.

I am so glad that I was able to participate in Periscope this year. Periscope gave me so many new tools that will be extremely helpful towards my music career. I was also able to meet like minded individuals, which facilitated a wonderful collaborative Spirit.

Rachel Karr
Visual Art

I create luminous paintings of the cosmos that explore the magic and complexity of the universe around and within us.

I had a wonderful experience as a cohort and really value the relationships that will last beyond the program. I now have a great set of tools and the community to grow my creative career. The program is an opportunity to hone your brand, find your audience, and shape your future with guidance from those who have been through it. No matter where you are in your creative journey there’s a wealth of knowledge to be had from Periscope the can help you find your next step.

Rebecca Titus
Visual Arts

Working with ink, acrylic, and collage, I make improvised visual art in public. My job is to illustrate live music and start a conversation about synesthesia.

Periscope has been a game-changer for my work. I’m very grateful I got to experience a learning environment that cares so much about empowering its students. What really stood out to me was the program’s consistent, emphatic message that it IS possible for individual artists to build a thriving business—we just need knowledge, strategy, and a little support.

I‘d recommend Periscope to any emerging artist craving advice and direction! If you’re ready to change up your approach and learn, this program will help you transform your career.
