The Arts & Business Council, Blackbird Media, and F&M Bank have teamed up to present the Artist of the Week on The Nashville Sign. This week’s featured artist is Katie Gore!
Katie is a photographer born and raised in Nashville. She was given her first camera at age 11, and she hasn’t put it down since.
Katie has multiple chronic illnesses, has endured 49 surgeries, and was recently diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. But she finds that her experiences have driven her creativity, and her photography would not be what it is today had she been living a different reality.
“I turn my pain into beautiful, unique and meaningful art. I used to be afraid that my illness would hold me back in the creative community, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth.”
Her art is driven by her unique strength and passion, and she is thrilled to share it with the world. Katie’s goal is to turn pain into passion, and passion into magic – one click at a time.
