This weekend, the Jefferson Street Art Crawl goes in-person for its Fourth Anniversary Edition with a combination of support for local artists and tackling injustice with protest through art. The event includes two locations with art along with a live, socially distanced DJ Party and Pop-up African clothing shop at One Drop Ink. Like the Jefferson Street Art Crawl, many local arts organizations are beginning to offer in-person options even as many continue virtual programs. The National Museum of African American Music is hosting the 13th Annual Roots Picnic virtually and the Frist is offering virtual programming this week while finalizing plans to begin in-person visits on July 1. Whether you attend events online or in-person (Don’t forget to wear a mask.), the arts continue to comfort and heal us during these unusual times.
