Description
For 75 years, the Ernest Tubb Record Shop helped country music fans locate hard-to-find music, hosted a multitude of artists after they performed on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry, and was home to the second longest running radio show, the Midnight Jamboree. During the ET record shop Glory Days of Nashville, folks like Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, and Ralph Stanley would stop by to sing a few songs. This shop became a steppingstone for advancing individual music careers, with performances on the Midnight Jamboree, and also played a pivotal role in creating Glory Music City. On the seventy fifth anniversary of the store being in business, the record shop suddenly closed its doors. This iconic sign can still be seen on Lower Broadway, but the future of this iconic store remains unknown.
