The Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville is delighted to announce the hiring of Jennifer “Ennie” Brosius as the organization’s Program Coordinator.
A dancer at heart, Ennie caught the bug for non-profit arts while working in the offices of The Repertory Project (now Verb Ballets) in her hometown of Cleveland, OH. Though not on stage, she recognized quickly the value of being part of a supportive structure that frees artists to focus on their creative work. She ultimately shifted to the corporate world with a focus on sales, marketing, and project management in a variety of industries. All the while, she regularly sought out volunteer opportunities where she could support arts organizations with their creative missions by applying her growing skill set.
While living in Seattle, Ennie’s adventures led her to the Fremont Arts Council, producers of community-built parades and events celebrating visual art, music and dance. She began by assisting with their promotions, development and production, then became co-chair of the Outreach Committee and Vice President of the Board of Directors. In 2019 she arrived in Nashville, escaped the cubicle farm, and has had the great fortune to work with the Kindling Arts Festival, Found Movement Group, OZ Arts Nashville, and Nashville Pride.
Ennie earned her Bachelor of Arts in English at John Carroll University. In her free time, she enjoys digging around in the increasing number of gardens on her property north of downtown, live music of all kinds, art markets, cooking, travel, and inventing excuses to wear sequins and tiaras. Ennie began her tenure with the Arts & Business Council on November 16, 2021. She can be reached at [email protected].
