Meet with a VITA volunteer

Speak to a VITA volunteer to learn how to file your taxes in the way that is most beneficial for you. You’ll receive a tax worksheet specifically for artists, musicians and creatives who file a Schedule C tax return. Volunteers will walk you through the worksheet and answer any tax questions within their scope of knowledge.

Meet with an FEC Financial Counselor

Whether you are in chronic financial trouble, an unexpected crisis arises, or you just want to make sure you are on the right track, individualized counseling can move you toward greater financial stability. Since opening its doors in 2013, the Nashville FEC has helped 9,457 clients reduce their debt by $23+ million and increase their savings by $3+ million.

How to Register

Click the “Get Tickets” button to complete the intake form by December 1 at 11:59 p.m.

After you submit the intake form, you will be contacted by an ABC staff member who will ask you to provide proof of income (in the form of your family’s most recent tax return, a current pay stub, or 1099/W2s) to confirm your eligibility. Proof of income is required to meet with a VITA volunteer.

Please respond in a timely manner to ensure that your appointment can be scheduled. If you do not respond, we will not be able to schedule your appointment.


Eligibility

This clinic is open to help with personal tax questions only. No businesses or nonprofits are eligible.

  • Client(s) must be Artists, Musicians or Creatives;
  • Client(s) must be a current resident of Tennessee;
  • To meet with a VITA volunteer, artists must be income qualified. If your gross household income was less than $70,000 in 2022, you qualify for assistance from a VITA volunteer at this clinic.
  • There are no income eligibility requirements to meet with an FEC Financial Counselor.
