Introducing Nashville’s Vibrant New Public Art Installation by Lauren Rolwing

Inspired by the city’s dynamic energy and the installation’s location next to GEODIS Park, Lauren Rolwing‘s designs grace new construction in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood with bold colors and intricate details. These stunning banners, a testament to Nashville’s vibrant music, sports, food and arts scenes, are not just works of art but expressions of creativity that enrich our urban landscape.

An illustrator who uses bold, clear shapes to create uncluttered, sophisticated, powerful compositions, Lauren conveys concepts and ideas in the simplest way possible. Her minimal yet profound compositions embellished with vivid contrasts have led her to work with clients such as Warby Parker, Glamour UK, Refinery 29 and Nike. She studied illustration and fashion at the Savannah College of Art & Design.

With our partners at MarketStreet Enterprises, the Arts & Business Council led the selection process for this long-term celebration of local talent, community service, and diversity. Located in the heart of the new development 445 Park Commons, these banners add a touch of beauty and whimsy to our ever-evolving community. Whether you’re a longtime resident or a visitor exploring our city for the first time, take a moment to appreciate the creativity and ingenuity that make Nashville truly special.

The Arts & Business Council intentionally creates mutually beneficial partnerships between arts and business to fortify the creative culture in Nashville. Strength in these relationships will ensure local art will thrive and be inextricably linked to the city’s fabric and identity as it continues to evolve.

The Arts & Business Council is proud to support opportunities like this for local artists because artists are essential ingredients to the character and vitality of our creative city.
