In his teens and early twenties, he collaborated with Gary Burton, Pat Metheny, and Jaco Pastorius, rejecting mainstream paths to pursue spiritual and creative freedom. The film delves into key turning points in his life: his struggles in the 1980s that led him to his spiritual guide, Tisziji Muñoz, who became a father figure, and his recent battle with cancer, which ignited a profound creative rebirth.
