Applications Open for Periscope: Artist Entrepreneur Training 2024

The Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville (ABC) is seeking applicants for the 2024 class of Periscope: Artist Entrepreneur Training, an annual business development intensive that empowers working artists to see their creative practice through an entrepreneurial lens.

Periscope provides tools and resources to help artists organize, plan, and sustain a creative career with the goal of developing an individualized business model based on their creative output. Each annual cohort is made up of a diverse group of artists, artisans, makers, and creative entrepreneurs of varying artistic disciplines including visual art, music, dance, spoken word, film, fashion and more. With classes led by highly experienced instructors from within Nashville’s entrepreneurial community and breakout group discussions facilitated by some of Nashville’s top arts professionals, Periscope is designed to be a transformative experience for each artist, sparking the moment when their career will really start to take off.

“Periscope remains one of ABC’s cornerstone programs, empowering artists with the essential knowledge and skills to transform their artistic passions into flourishing creative businesses,” said Jill McMillan Palm, Executive Director of ABC. “Artists enter Periscope with talent and dedication, and our program equips them with the indispensable tools needed to emerge as successful artist entrepreneurs.”

ABC will host an online information session on January 22 at 6 p.m. CST to provide more information about the program, the application process, and important dates. Staff and program alumni will be on hand to answer questions from potential applicants. Artists interested should register online at https://bit.ly/PeriscopeInfo2024
