I’m Afraid of Everyone

Description

To be in rhythm, we must be able to observe and understand our thoughts, feelings, and emotions. This is especially true with feelings that might otherwise be considered shameful by others—like fear and anxiety. This piece expresses one of my driving fears–a fear that I kept hidden for most of my life. I have found that the more I broadcast my fears, the less shameful I feel about having them in the first place. I chose to paint this piece on a musical instrument to symbolize my desire to broadcast my fears as a means of self empowerment.
