I’m a Goddess and You Won’t Hurt Me Anymore

Description

This was a work in a portrait series I did titled “FLORID.” This piece was conceptually more aggressive, meant to show a character’s ferocity, but when I started actually creating it, it felt more graceful and delicate than I’d expected. The figure has an appearance of being in motion, with the tiger lilies dancing around her portrait, guiding your eye around the image. There is a lot of harmonic movement in this piece, and it has a rhythm of its own, especially in the way the background and flowers are patterned.
