Description
Each painting within “Gold Bow Suite” depicts a yellow bow that I painted within the time constraints of one hour. Each bow acts like a drum beat in the series of paintings. After having painted each one hour yellow bow, I then went back to work on each piece, adding fluorescent yellow glaze over the yellow of the bow to create “Electric Gold”, and a blue element to suggest “Acoustic Blue, both colors in the Nashville SC jersey. As a group, these four bows are like a 4/4 time signature in music. Though each painting is unique, they maintain a visual rhythm in their similarities when grouped together.
