Poetry at Waddey Patterson – Check out our blog!WHAT IS WorkCREATIVE? PICTURE THIS:

As you sit at your table, someone gets up in front of the audience with a beat-up notebook and an uneasy grin. They glance at the words they have scribbled on the page, take a deep breath and begin to read in a poetic rhythm. You listen intently, hanging on the words they are reading, getting insight into their imagination, thoughts and creativity. Trust and effective communication are established between the poet and the audience. Wouldn’t it be great if that atmosphere was in your organization?

With the Arts & Business Council’s WorkCREATIVE, it can be! ABC will pair your organization with a local artist who will then lead your employees through a program that will encourage creativity, innovation and effective communication while fostering trust and acceptance of other team member’s ideas and beliefs. These valuable business skills that are critical to successful organizations will be developed in a setting where employees are comfortable and having a good time!

HOW TO SET UP A WorkCREATIVE PROJECT FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION:

Step One: Work with ABC to identify a project area to set project goals, including:

  • Spark Innovative Thinking
  • Engage Your Team
  • Improve Communication
  • Manage Times of Change
  • Partner with a Nonprofit

Step Two: Select a specific project and artist from ABC’s roster, and work with ABC to determine the timeline and budget. Once finalized, the business will work directly with the artist to coordinate the logistics.
